Mid Century Modern Space Age Terrarium 36” Tall Vintage Retro MCM

Offering a hard to find mid century modern / retro period plastic space age terrarium in pretty good condition considering it's age and use. This measures 3 ft tall and the sphere is 20" across. The top has lost its circular rotating air vent, often these are missing when these are found. The circular hole on the top is open, but it's perfectly usable like this. It has a crack on one side of the top half of the clear sphere that has some glue residue on it, where someone attempted to messily stabilize the crack. It also has a crack to one of the two white base pieces. (see photos) this one has not been glued, but I am sure with some patience and skill, it could be stabilized with appropriate an glue. The two sphere pieces fit together well as they were supposed to, as do the bottom white pieces. I have removed the original bolt and nut to separate the two base pieces for shipping and it will be included with the piece. The white has yellowed a bit on the outside, compared to the inside of the white bottom pieces and it has a few minor scrapes and surface scratches. The clear sphere is also slightly yellowed with age. It's not perfect, but it is nice. The messy old glue line could be cleaned off and reglued with an appropriate type of glue and the crack can be turned to the back and it would hardly be noticed. A great rare piece for lovers of MCM and retro space age decor. Look it over carefully, I am not offering returns, you are buying it as you see it in the photos and as described. I am offering local pick up only, but I would be happy to deliver it to my local shipping UPS or FedEx store and provide the store number to buyer, who must make arrangements for the packing and shipping of this themselves with the shipping store. Buyer will pay for this directly to the store I drop it off at UPS or FedEx for packing and shipping. If damage occurs, it will be between the buyer and the shipping store to file a claim and receive a refund for the item. I am happy to provide any info regarding the sale to complete a claim if required.
