    What Gelomyrtol forte is and what it is used for
    This medicine is used to relieve expectoration in acute and chronic bronchitis and to relieve the symptoms of sinusitis.
    Gelomyrtol forte liquefies bronchial and nasopharyngeal secretions and improves their elimination.
    If you do not feel better or even get worse within 10 days, talk to your doctor.
    Before you take Gelomyrtol forte
    Gelomyrtol forte should not be used:
    if you have inflammatory disease of the stomach, intestines or gallbladder and ducts, or severe liver disease;
    if you are allergic to eucalyptus oil, sweet orange oil, myrtle oil, lemon oil or cineole (the main component of eucalyptus oil) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6);
    children under 3 years of age.
    Warnings and precautions.
    Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Gelomyrtol forte.
    If you do not feel better or worse, or have shortness of breath or fever, or start coughing up mucus with blood or pus-like discharge, contact your doctor immediately.
    Gelomyrtol forte should only be used if your doctor has asthma, pertussis or any other respiratory hypersensitivity reaction.
    Gelomyrtol forte should not be used in children under 6 years of age.
    Other medicines and Gelomyrtol forte.
    If the product is used as recommended, drug interactions are not known.
    Pregnancy, lactation and fertility.
    If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
    As with all medicines, Gelomyrtol forte should be consulted during pregnancy.
    Breastfeeding
    .
    Due to the fat solubility of the active substance, low concentrations are likely to be excreted in human milk.
    To date, there are no data on the increased risk of breast-feeding with Gelomyrtol forte.
    As with other medicines, you should consult your doctor during breast-feeding.
    Fertility.
    Animal studies do not indicate direct or indirect harmful effects with respect to fertility.
    Driving and using machines.
    No special precautions are required.
    Gelomyrtol forte contains sorbitol.
    If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicinal product.
    How to take Gelomyrtol forte
    Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.

    Recommended dose:

    How and when to take Gelomyrtol forte?
    Gelomyrtol forte capsules are taken orally for 30 minutes.
    before meals, drinking a sufficient amount of cold fluid.
    The last dose can be taken just before bedtime.
    How long to take Gelomyrtol forte?
    The duration of use of Gelomyrtol forte depends on the symptoms.
    It can be used for a long time in chronic diseases.
    What to do if you take too much Gelomyrtol forte?
    Tell your doctor.
    Your doctor will decide what measures to take.
    The following side effects may be exacerbated.
    If you forget to take Gelomyrtol forte.
    Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
    If you miss a dose, continue to take Gelomyrtol forte as usual, as prescribed by your doctor or as recommended in your dosing instructions.

    This medicine, like all medicines, can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

    Uncommonly, gastrointestinal disorders such as stomach pain, upper abdominal discomfort, taste perversion and, in rare cases, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea may occur.
    In rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions (such as skin rash, itching, swelling of the face, shortness of breath or circulatory problems) may occur.
    Very rarely, kidney or gallbladder stones that have formed in the past may come out.
    How to store Gelomyrtol forte
    Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
    Do not store above 25 ºC.
    Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton and on the blister after EXP.
    The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
    Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste.
    Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required.
    These measures will help to protect the environment.
    Composition of Gelomyrtol forte gastro-resistant soft capsules
    Active substance.
    Each gastro-resistant soft capsule contains 300 mg of a distillate (66: 32: 1: 1) of a mixture of purified eucalyptus, sweet orange, myrtle and lemon essential oils.
    The other ingredients are: refined rapeseed oil, gelatin, glycerol (85%), liquid sorbitol (non-crystallising) (E420), hypromellose acetate-succinate, triethyl citrate, sodium laurilsulfate, talc, dextrin, ammonium glycyrrhizide, dilute hydrochloric acid.
